When I thought to skip this outfit someone told me," No, U can share". That time my courage grows again for this post. I was hesitating cause I didn't wear any accessories and photos were taken almost in the evening (though you can't wear too much accessories with this. Finally edited the pics). This is the same day after shooting the last OOTD I was not enough comfortable to wear any accessories. It was a hot day so I took off all the accessories to prevent the color from sweat . For me it is not a perfect OOTD but It is a FOTD or LOTD (look of the day).

Coming to the kurti. This is a Pakistani style Kurti or long straight Kurti and this is in full demand. This long kurti gives very impressive professional look with ethnic touch. Normally Pakistani kurtis are ill-fitted and mostly picked by fashionistas who like to try something new every time but I got mine fitted. I think it goes with me. Another important thing is you look slimmer in this type of Kurtis. Plus size girls, are you thinking for a trial???? Go ahead...  It can be paired with ankle length leggings or tribal printed treggings,(for single color Kurti) jeans or with a palazzo. So, are you ready for ethnic and funky fashion makeover for office wear?
Accessories: No need of jewelry, Only you can choose a pair of long earrings, wrist watch and flats/heels.
A perfect office or college Look...

                                                                                                                                    Tee...

A blogger should be versatile, from this outfit I  have exposed some versatility of Ethnic wear. I have posted OOTD of Kurti before but this one is special cause this doesn't look like a normal Kurti. Being a blogger I don't want to post normal outfits every time and I'm not a fashion designer so I can't design too. (though sometime I design my cloths but that is not professional) So what can I do actually? at least I can buy outfits which looks unique fresh as well as contrasting form our daily outfits and can inject the idea to every fashionable person.

I am my mom's daughter not only by the look also by choice, heart everything... (actually not by heart she is more warmhearted) I was on the hunt for this type of outfit but could not find any good one either in Kolkata or in my Home town. So when my mom called me from Delhi n told me that she was shopping and she found a suit and described about it. Just on first proposal I told her to take it. My mom found exactly what I want. She has a pretty good fashion sense and I inherit the same. She did a generous amount of shopping for me and my sis, saved them for puja. I'll post them one by one...

You may think I'm wearing a kurti with a flared long skirt, WRONG! This Is a One piece Kurti. The skirt is joined with the kurti and I wore it with black leggings. Nice na???? I have seen kurti with skirt or plazos or plazo suits. But never seen this type maxi skirt-kurti which suits all body shapes. (saw something like this in Biba but not enough good looking n price was almost 4k :O) For me it's full length but actually it is anarkali length I mean very little churidar visible. Can be worn without leggings also. Price- Rs. 1900/-  Being a plus size girl from this OOTD I want to say all curvy/plussize girls that they can go out of ordinary too. So many time it happens that we reject fashion in products for our body shape but do a trail may be it suits you... Don't hesitate to show your curves ♥...

Inspiration

Are you confused by all the sunscreen options? With so many brands of sunscreen available in the market, selecting the right one must be difficult. This post may help you to make the proper selection.
What are Sunscreens?
Sunscreens are products combining several ingredients that help prevent the sun's ultraviolet (UV) radiation from reaching the skin. And SPF (Sun Protection Factor) is the measure of a sunscreen's ability to prevent UV from damaging the skin. There are two types of UV radiations UVA and UVB that causes sunburn, damages skin, and can contribute to skin cancer.

What is UVA and UVB?
Ultraviolet (UV) radiation is part of the electromagnetic (light) spectrum that reaches the earth from the sun. It has wavelengths shorter than visible light, making it invisible to the naked eye. Ultraviolet A (UVA) is the longer wave UV ray that causes lasting skin damage, skinage, and can cause skin cancer. Ultraviolet B (UVB) is the shorter wave UV ray that causes sunburns, skin damage, and can cause skin cancer. There’s also a third type of ray, UVC - these are the shortest and strongest, but thankfully they’re absorbed by the ozone layer and don’t typically reach the Earth.

What is SPF?
SPF stands for Sun Protection Factor and shows to what degree a product prevents sunburn. Since sunburn is caused by UVB radiation, SPF rating give no indication of how well a product will protect you from UVA radiation (responsible for skin aging and skin cancer). As sunburn is caused by UVB radiation SPF is only a measure of how much UVB is blocked. For protection against both UVA and UVB rays you will need a 'broad spectrum' product. An SPF indicates the ability of a sun protection product to filter out UVB rays. An SPF of 15 will filter out approximately 93% of UVB rays and an SPF of 30 will filter out around 96%. When choosing an SPF rating, keep in mind that doubling the SPF value doesn't mean you get double the protection. SPF 15 will block the majority of UVB rays, SPF will block more, and anything over SPF 30 doesn't really protect you much more than an SPF 30 product. An SPF of 15-30 is seen as the recommended by most health experts.

 "sunscreen" vs "sunblock"
While many people use "sunscreen" and "sunblock" interchangeably, there's a difference. Sunscreen contains chemicals that absorb UV rays before they damage the skin. Sunblock contains particles that act as a physical wall against UV rays. While sunscreen must be applied 15 minutes prior to sun exposure, sunblock begins working immediately. Dermatologists say experiment with what works best with your skin and plan accordingly.

What is good about the sun?
Talked a lot of disadvantages of sunlight, Don't be afraid there must be some good also. The light from the sun has a strong effect on mood and we know that people feel better when the sun shines. In particular, those suffering from Seasonal Affective Disorder show an improvement in the summer months.

Sunlight also acts on the skin to produce vitamin D, which is essential for good health, (especially for female) in particular to maintain health bones.
How much SPF is best to my skin?
The susceptibility of an individual to skin damage from the sun depends to a great extent on their skin type. Skin typing is simply a basic way to categories the sensitivity of the skin to the sun.
Identifying your skin type will help you to decide on the level of protection necessary during sun exposure - for example, skin type I requires very high protection since the body’s inherent protection is very low and the skin is readily burnt by small amounts of UV rays.
Sunscreens should never be used in order to stay in the sun for longer.
I'm showing some more charts that will help you to decide.

Basically the more lighter your skin tone is the more SPF you need.
So how much SPF you need is solved now selecting the right sun protection according to your skin type is another problem. Hence I can suggest but it completely depends on your skins reaction or you can say trail n error method you have to follow...

For normal to Dry skin- Dry skin suppose to feel tight n flaky especially after washing face and throughout the day and this is because lac of water & natural oil in your skin. So you need more moisture and hydrating ingredients such as Aloe Vera and Glycerin etc. Go for creamy products that hydrates enough or formulas that are loaded with emollients like plant oils and fatty acid.
Sunscreen for Normal to Dry Skin -
  •                        Lotus herbal Safe Sun Sun Block Cream (SPF 20)
  •                        Lacto Calamine Sun Shield (SPF 30) (Dry to normal skin)
  •                        Kaya Daily Moisturizing Sunscreen (SPF 30+)
  •                        The Body Shop Moisture White Shiso UV Protection Cream (SPF 30)
  •                        Avene Very High Protection Cream for dry sensitive skin SPF50+
For normal to Combination skin- You can try almost every type of sunscreens but keep in mind that
find something that won't cause acne. I think lotions are good for you and in winters go for hydrating products.
Sunscreen for Normal to Combination Skin -
  •                         Neutrogena Clear Face Liquid Lotion Sunblock spf30
  •                         Nivea Moisturizing Sun Lotion SPF 50
  •                         Lotus 3 in 1 Matte Lock Daily Sunblock SPF 40
  •                         Proactive Daily Protection plus Sunscreen SPF 30
  •                         VLCC Sweat free sunblock lotion
  •                         VLCC Matte Look Sunscreen Lotion SPF 30 with Pineapple Extracts
  •                         Aroma Magic Aloe Vera Sun Screen Gel SPF20
For Normal to Oily skin- Sunscreens that won’t cause breakouts can be hard to find yet using it, is important for all the reasons mentioned above. You want something that doesn’t clog your pores, won’t irritate your skin or cause breakouts. I think Gel base sun protections are best for oily or acne prone skin at least from my own experience. But again it completely depends on the reaction of your skin. Look for lightweight sunscreens (sheer or fluid lotions) that dry down to a matte finish.
Sunscreen for  Normal to Oily/Acne prone Skin -

  • Lotus Herbals Safe Sun 3-in-1 Matte Look Daily Sun Block SPF 40
  • Lotus Herbals Safe Sun Sunscreen Gel SPF-20
  • Nivea for Men Advanced Whitening Dark Spot Reduction Moisturiser SPF 30
  • Kaya Skin Clinic Daily Use Sunscreen with SPF 15
  • LA ROCHE-POSAY Anthelios Mineral Tinted Ultra-Light Sunscreen Fluid SPF 50
  • Lacto Calamine Sun Shield - Oily To Normal Skin - Spf 30
  • Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry Touch Sunblock SPF 50+
I personally like to use a sun protection with SPF 20-30. My skin is sensitive to sunscreens so I use them only when I go outside. I feel burning with high SPF containing products.
I'm using Dermabrite Fortifying Sun Care SPF30 and it is very gentle to my skin.

Hello Beauties...
I know I'm posting after a huge gap but I won't give any excuses this time. So straight to the post. This time I'm going to show you an ethnic look. Yes it's a 'OOTD' and hope you all like it.
I will also share an another information, as so many people asked about my hair color so in this post I'll mention that too.

You can see long hair in this post but let me tell you, a few days ago I had a hair cut. Yes I cut my long hair and made it shoulder length. The hair color you see here was applied in Ombré  technique. Ombré technique is a popular color applying technique in this days. I simply highlight my hair in this technique almost One n half year ago and the color is still the same. I guess the hair stylist used L'Oréal Professionnel hair bleach. I don't know the shade and product name. He didn't use foil. I honestly liked the color and I think it suits me. I'll definitely do it again. Now see the outfit too...

I like the color combination of this kurti and I love chikan work. I know some alteration needed here.
Enjoy the pics...

Now a days Kurtis become the most comfortable wear specially with leggings. From a growing teenage girl to a busy mom, every woman prefers kurti for regular use. Even for any climate Kurti is the the first option for most of us. We can add some accessories and make our ordinary Kurti to a special one. Wear a touch of makeup along with some funky jewellery, heel or attractive shoes and there you go... (Don't forget to wear nail-polish)
I combined this kurti with a churidar pant and white shoes. It was a very hot day and I wore very light makeup with lots of loose powder.
Kurti - Boutique store
Price- Rs.1800
Shoes- Local designer shop
Price- Rs.2000
Bangles - Rs.50 (my mom brought this from Delhi, they are really cheap)

                                                                                                                             Tee...
Hello Ladies I'm back with another Orangey Post !!!
First of all I want to wish all of you Happy Lipstick Day !
Yesterday was lipstick day and today I'm posting. I wanted to post it yesterday but I'm really busy in these days. As you can see I've not been posting for a month while but honestly I want to blog but unfortunately blogging is difficult while studying a professional degree course. at least for me :-(

Anyway from this post you guys can surely understand how much I'm obsessed with orange. Normally girls like pinks but I like orange more than pink. I think this is because of my zodiac sign.
(every zodiac sign fall in a sign category among Fire, Water, Earth, Air details is here and as a Leo I'm a fire person so I like warm tones )

Today I'm going to show you some Orange tone Drugstore lip products witch is suitable for Indian tones, not so expensive and my favorite obviously.

Maybelline Baby Lips Electro Pop Oh Orange : A perfect pick up for every day use. It gives a very mild neonish  orange color to your lips almost no color, moisturize lips for 2 to 3 hours.  Price Rs.165

Maybelline  Baby Lips Cherry Kiss : From old baby lips collection this orangy tone baby lips is my all time favorite. Even I like it more than electro pop. I think already you people own it. Price Rs.125

Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain Rendezvous: Another good product with average moisturizing effect. I like this color. Though it's a lip balm but it gives a noticeable color. Perfect color for medium and fair people.  Price Rs. 650

Lakme 9 to 5 Orange Edge Lipstick: I have already reviewed it. You can see here   .  All I can say I just love this matte lipstick. Can be used day to night. Medium  n Dusky tone can wear it. Price Rs.375
L’Oreal Color Riche Pure Reds Star Collection Pure Fire : I love everything about this range. It's a perfect orange tone lipstick and every people can wear this color. It suits fair to dark every Complexion.I found it as the best matte lipstick. (even better than MAC for me) Very well pigmented. I have two colors of this collection and I want to buy every color. I like how it is soft and smoothly glides on lips and without drying my lips it stays 5-6 hours. One swipe gives enough color that you need not to apply more coats.  It doesn’t bleed, doesn't create fine lines, doesn't have shimmer more over it's not a powdery matte one. I love the black packing and the color coded bump.  Another thing I want to add, dark or dusky tones look more sexy in this color.
Price Rs. 999 completely worth it product.

Colorbar Definer Lip Liner Just Coral : Yes it is a Lip liner but can be use as a filler too. It's a Coral orange and believe me though it is a liner but it has a smooth and buttery texture. I have seen another orange shade in this range but that was very very dry and that was a very bright orange only suits fair skin tones. This shade is highly pigmented. I wish all the shades were well pigmented then I would buy that orange shade too... I have forgot the name exactly, I guess Sizzling orange. I love the packing including the sharpener. This is another orange that suits fair to dark every skin tone. Price Rs 650
Sorry I don't have any good pic of this product. I've clicked a pic from mobile but it is not good. I will update a pic soon.
